FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY PARTY?
A typical booking is made 3-4 weeks in advance. However, bookings are accepted at ALL TIMES, anywhere from a year in advance to 24 hrs before your party. Please do not hesitate to make a request.

​DOES ROYALTY & ME TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF CENTRAL IOWA?
Absolutely! Our princesses would love to travel to your kingdom. A free travel radius of 30 miles from our headquarters is included in your pricing. Additional travel is priced at a rate of $2/mile, one way. 


IS THERE A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of $50 is due upon booking for all Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire, Diamond, Just For Fun, and Royal Event packages. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking for all Diamond Tea Parties, Pool Parties, and Makeover parties. Any outstanding balance is due 24 hrs before your booking begins.


WHAT IF WE NEED TO EXCEED THE GUEST LIMIT?
An additional guest can be added to any Sapphire or Diamond package for an additional fee. See our packages page for rates on extra guests. An additional BIRTHDAY CHILD (including tiara & magical gift) can be added to any package for $20.00.

HOW MUCH SPACE DO I NEED FOR MY PRINCESS PARTY?
The amount of space required varies from package to package. For parties that include games or tea parties, we request enough space for the princess and all guests to comfortably sit in a circle on the floor. Packages that do not include games are a bit less space consuming, and work well for smaller spaces. 

CAN I TIP MY PRINCESS PERFORMER?
Yes, you may! Tipping is not required, but if you feel that your princess provided exceptional service, tipping is certainly welcome.

 CAN I HOST MY PRINCESS PARTY OUTDOORS?
All parties must be hosted indoors to preserve the look of our Royal Characters and ensure their safety in extreme temperatures. Outdoor venues are ONLY acceptable with prior approval. Please email royaltyandmebooking@gmail.com to make your request. 


WHAT IS MERMAIDS & MIRACLES?
Royalty & Me strongly believes in sharing magic with those in need. Mermaids & Miracles is an initiative developed to raise funds for sick children in Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. $10 from every booking made with The Little Mermaid will go directly to Iowa's local CMN Hospital in Iowa City to aid in treatments, research, and unexpected costs associated with children's illnesses.

CAN I REQUEST A COMPLIMENTARY VISIT FOR A CHILD IN NEED OR IN THE HOSPITAL?
Absolutely! It is our Princess Mission to make dreams come true for Little Royals in need, in all cases possible.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER RESTRICTIONS?
To ensure the safety of our Princess Performers, we do not allow smoking or excessive alcohol consumption during any of our parties or events. Our performers reserve the right to leave any party in which they do not feel safe, without notice or refund of payment. ​
